Rosalene J. Ratzlaff, 93, died on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Hutchinson Medical Center.

She was born on June 23, 1923 the daughter of Bertha (Anderson) and Martin Eugene Forsberg in Roxbury, Kansas.

On May 28, 1943, she married Wesley T. Ratzlaff in Seattle, Washington. He preceded her in death on October 23, 2008.
Rosalene held a membership with the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church. She worked for the Newton Presbyterian Manor from June 1985 to August 20, 1992, when she entered retirement. Her time spent there she worked as a nurse’s aide, medical records clerk, and, at retirement she was an Assistant Superintendent. After retirement, Rosalene and Wesley moved to Lindsborg, Kansas.
Rosalene loved her family dearly and treasured each moment spent with them. She will always be remembered for her love for family, cooking and baking her wonderful cinnamon rolls.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her spouse Wesley; daughter Sandra Lay; brother, Wayne Forsberg; brother-in-law, Warren Ade; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and John Madden.
Survivors include her son Mike and wife Becky, Hutchinson, KS; two sisters, Donna and husband Lloyd Hansen, Sacramento, CA and Marcia Ade, Gypsum, KS; sister-in-law, Maletta Forsberg, Lindsborg, KS; two granddaughters, Danna and husband Tom McVey, Austin, TX and Tiffany Ratzlaff, Hutchinson; grandson, Tanner and wife Ami Ratzlaff, Sunnyvale, CA; two great grandchildren, Jonah and Ellery Ratzlaff, Sunnyvale, CA; and her grand-dog, Mishka.

Memorial Services will be held on at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Mennonite Friendship Communities Chapel, 600 W Blanchard Ave, South Hutchinson, KS 67505.

Visitation will be held just prior to the service.

Burial will be held Friday at 10:30 A.M. at the Restlawn Garden of Memories in Newton, Kansas.

Memorials may be made to the Mennonite Friendship Communities Manor in care of the funeral home at 120 E. Broadway, Newton, KS 67114.
