Rudolph P. Yelenich

June 22, 1917 — February 7, 2009

Rudolph (Rudy) P. Yelenich Rudy passed on to be with his wife Kay Yelenich on February 7, 2009 at the age of 91.

He was born on June 22, 1917 in Hibbing, MN.

Rudy joined the Navy and was stationed in San Francisco, CA where he met Kay. They later was stationed aboard the USS Morrison and served during WWII. After leaving the service Rudy was employed by PG & E for 29 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, John and Peter; sisters, Anne, Mary, Stephana and Kathryn.

He is survived by several nieces, nephews and those who knew and loved him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 11th, 2009, at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Juan Garza presiding.

Burial will be in the Whitewater cemetery, Whitewater, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers , memorials may be made to the American Legion of Newton, Kansas in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, Kansas, 67114.
