Goessel
Ruth Rediger Reimer, 90, of Goessel, Kans., died July 30 at Bethesda Home in Goessel, KS. She was born January 8, 1924 in Wayland, Iowa, to Samuel and Minnie Sutter. Ruth lived in Wayland most of her life. She married Dallas Rediger of Milford, NE., in 1944, and they lived on the family farm outside of Wayland and shared 55 years together.
Ruth was a homemaker and an active member of Sugar Creek Mennonite Church for many years. She spent one year working in Norristown, Pa., where Dallas served in Civilian Public Service. After Dallas died in 1999, she later met and married Hugo Reimer of Newton, Kan.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Gary Rediger (Gloria), Newton, KS.; Mary Mainard (Tom), Lakewood, CO.; and Nancy Rediger (Tom Kopinski), St. Charles, MO.; a sister, Estelle Krabill of Albany, OR., 9 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren; stepchildren and step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas, and husband Hugo, son Ronald, infant son, Donald, sister, Aldine Meyer, and brother, Joe Sutter.
A memorial service will be held at Bethesda Chapel, Goessel, KS. on August 19 at 2:30 p.m.
A memorial and burial service will be held at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, Wayland, Iowa, on August 23 at 11 a.m.
