Sadie Moulds

Sadie J. Moulds, 87, of Carbondale, Illinois, passed away at 7 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2012, at the Carbondale Rehab and Nursing Center in Carbondale, Illinois.

Sadie was born on September 28, 1924, in McPherson, Kansas, to William T. Becker and Elizabeth (Seibrandt) Becker.

Mrs. Moulds was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Murphysboro, Illinois.

She was a homemaker and she did leather working, was a fantastic seamstress, and loved to crochet and garden.

Sadie married Donald Jacob Moulds, on June 28, 1942, at Halstead, Kansas and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1995.

She and her husband were missionaries with Bearing Precious Seeds Missions and they had traveled to Honduras, Belize, Panama and Mexico.

Survivors include four children Donald W. Moulds and his wife Barbara of Hesston, KS, Wanda L. Dyer and her husband Tom Dyer of Hutchison, KS, Howard Wayne Moulds and his wife Linda Moulds of South Fork, CO, and Willa Kolkmeyer and her husband Bob Kolkmeyer of Carbondale, IL; seven grandchildren Bradley Moulds, Sandy Stark, Joseph Dyer, Janice Dyer, Dianna Moulds, Paula Kolkmeyer and Rob Kolkmeyer; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters Violet Richert of McPherson, KS, and Myrla Dean Adwell of Lindsborg, KS; and three brothers Bert Becker of Hutchison, KS, Edgar Becker of Longmont, CO, and James Becker of Estes Park, CO.

She was preceded in death by one grandson Evan Moulds, one sister Melinda Boese, one brother Floyd Becker and her parents.

Graveside services and interment will be held at Restlawn Gardens of Memory in Newton, KS at 2 p. m., on Saturday, August 11, 2012.

Friends may call on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway Newton, KS.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 371 Health Dept. Road, Murphysboro, IL 62966, where the funds will be used for missions.
