Sharron (Sherry) Louise Higgins (Bryan), age 69, of Hillsboro, Kansas passed away on December 12th, 2024.
Sherry was born on November 29th, 1955 to Nelda M. Seward (Hayes) and Marien D. Bryan in Rapid City, SD. She was the middle of three children, Ronald Parker and Marien (Al) Bryan.
Sherry met Kerry Higgins working together at Hesston Corporation. They married shortly after on August 8th, 1987, combining their children of prior marriages, Teri Shelton (Hunter) and Amanda Flores (Higgins) forging a loving home on a farm outside of Hillsboro. She spent her later years self-employed and as a Property Manager, owning an RV park in Canton and other properties in the surrounding areas.
Sherry was an exceptionally independent and strong-willed Irish woman who adored spending time with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She dedicated her time caring for all her critters at the farm including numerous racoons, birds, goats, emu, llamas, chickens, cats, and multiple dogs over the years.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Kerry Higgins (Hillsboro), brother, Al Bryan (Hutchinson), daughter, Teri Shelton (Hutchinson), step-daughter, Amanda Flores (Walton), grandchildren, Alex Rivera (Wichita), Nic Rivera (Newton), Josslynn Flores (Walton), Bradley Hunter (Galva), Ryan Hunter (Lehigh), Faith Shelton (Canton), and Hope Shelton (Hillsboro), and 5 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
