Valora Lynn Redger, died on November 14th, 2009 at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on November 19th, 1951 to Jaraine M. (Decker) and Gene Redger in Hillsboro, Kansas.
She had achieved her Business Degree from Brown Mackey College, prior to working in the finanacial office for the Department of Social Services in Salina and Newton . She had also worked for the Wichita School District as a Para and the Wichita Greyhound track for several years.
Valora was very family oriented and rarely missed any of her nieces and nephews sports activities. She loved her family dearly, and a special talent of keeping all her siblings in line. She was considerate of others, and would do just about anything to help anyone.
Survivors include her parents, Jaraine and Gene Redger, Newton; 3 brothers, Randy M. (Tina) of Peabody, Perry K. (Lesa) of Newton, Rick (Susan) of Newton; 4 sisters, Vickie R. (Mike) Brockman of Newton, Tamie (Tim) Larez of Newton, Treva (Steve) Robbins of Newton, Ramie (Terry) Stanford of Burrton; sister-in-law, DeAnn Redger of Newton and many nieces, nephews and great-niece and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie Redger and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M. with the family greeting from 5:00-7:00 P.M.
Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, 1:00 P.M. at the First Nazarene Church in Newton. The Reverend Charles West will be presiding.
Burial will follow at the Peace Valley Cemetery in Roxsbury, Kansas.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association in care of the funeral home
