Zada Carlson England, 93, died Friday (November 13, 2015) at Kidron Bethel in North Newton, Ks.
She was born on March 22, 1922 in Halstead, Ks., the daughter of Albert and Lina Artz Carlson. Zada grew up in Halstead during the Great Depression and Dust Bowl days. She graduated from Halstead High School and Chillicothe College in Missouri.
During World War II, Zada worked for Beech Aircraft at the downtown office in Wichita.
She loved to travel and was an avid reader. Zada was a charter member of GGGS. She had many interests and hobbies, but her great love was time spent with her four children and their families.
She is survived by daughters Shellie and Monty Tibbitts of Stone Harbor, N.J., Linda Connolly of Seaville, N.J., Dana England of Spring City, PA.; son Jeff and Lonnie England of Overland Park, KS., six grandsons; seven great granddaughters; and one great grandson. In addition, her longtime caretaker and loving friend, Linda Stevens.
Zada is preceded in death by her parents; beloved brother, Duane Carlson; her former husband Keith England; and son-in-law Bob Connolly.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 A.M., Wednesday (November 18, 2015) at the Chapel of Kidron Bethel in North Newton. Interment will be in the Halstead Cemetery following the services.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening between 5pm and 7pm.
